Bob.

The OTHER excitment of the day happened when the famous Mr. Bob Woodruff ran past me to catch his flight, which apparently he was late for! I knew immediatly that was him! I just watched him on the news- and, he was very tan and I saw his scars on the side of his face (not visible in this picture below) from when he was injuried while in the middle east covering the war in iraq.

Welcome to Detroit

Michigan hasn't changed much...landed here about 2 hours ago and it cold, rainy and dreary! But, I suppose I dont mind THAT much- since it is better than the 97 degree, 400% humidity I left this morning in Houston.

Due to weather we had some delays leaving Houston- but, the flight was OK. I survived. I hate flying. I do. Fear of falling out of the sky- far surpasses the ACTUAL fact that I have a 100% success rate of flying for the past 29 years. Yes. I know. Ridiculous. Don't ask at what point this fear started...I have no idea.
The only positive in this: I was telling the lady next to me that NWA gives out these delicious cookies- they are like a ginger snap! Well, the flight attendant heard me- and for the rest of the flight made fun of me about my desire for these tasty morsels of heaven and gave me a HUGE bag of them!!

Due to a late flight arrival, my wait for the fabulous Michigan Flyer was only about 30 minutes, and I am currently driving down the I-94. :) Nothing like internet on the bus! LOVE IT!

Jamos is doing good in Chicago- ran a 5k this morning- He makes me proud I can't help it.

Well, off to meet Rachel and hopefully eat dinner- all I have had today is a coffee and a scone along with some of the dreamy NWA cookies :)

c-town

If you know where c-town is- this message is for YOU! Since Jamo and I will be in town this weekend together- for such a short time- we want to see you! I am trying to think of a plan, like, a possible "get together" where we can have everyone in the same place at the same time kinda thing- not sure if that will happen- but, I would love it!

Jamos left this morning- we were up at around 4am RIDICULOUS. He left after 5am. crazy. I am trying to get the house in order after both of us packing and such over the last few days. Besides that- we still have Germany packing still misplaced around the house- too much for just one girl!

I was reading about this kid who got struck by lightening- he was in a field at school during a thunderstorm and they gave the statistics about actually getting struck by lightening and I guess it is a LOT higher chance you will get struck by lightening than I thought! If your WINDOW or DOOR is open during a storm, the lightening can come in that way! Did you know that?! I did NOT!

We got our electric bill...these high temps in Houston surely do hurt the pocketbook. UGH!!!! Things seem to be so expensive lately- with the car trouble we had, the trip to Germany (that was worth every penny!), 90 degree temps, travel, etc., it all adds up, but you only live once right?! :) SO hopefully once we get back from Michigan- we can save some money....

Well, better go pack...

things on my brain

1. I am flying in 2 days
2. Jamos is flying tomorrow
3. I went to Walgreens last night- and the medical examiners were there- turns out some guy died of natural causes at the walgreens parking lot- in his bmw. sad.
4. Got our car waxed today- looks good.
5.Picked up Jamos' dry cleaning- looks good- even though we stopped 2 times- and it wasn't there/ready/open.
6. Jon and Kate plus 8 are making me crazy. I love them- their kids- everything and I am shocked that it may really be over for them. Why?!? How?! COME ON!!! Stick it out!!! That is what God tells us to do!

Yea, I am done making a list. Lots on my brain- kinda feels like before we left for Germany a few weeks ago- just so much to do- like chaos- is how my mind feels. My Feng Shui (sP?!) is off. ha.
There are SO many details for things...not very good with details lately, so, I am struggling with it all. BUT, I have figured a few things out- like, how I am getting from the airport to Jack-town. And, the one that I was willing to hitch hike for- how am I getting to the west side of the state- answer: AMTRAK! Yes, I am going to take the TRAIN for the first time EVER! Crazy!!! But, it is going to work out great- and, wasn't too expensive- so, train it is! :)

Tonight I got a new rolling carry-on- which I am excited about- I can put my computer in there- with all my other stuff AND roll it- it is London Fog- so it should last a long time. I am excited to try it out!

Have you watched the tv show Wipe Out? It is SO funny. Jamos and I usually laugh a LOT during this show! :) I would even TRY it!

Well friends, I need to go make something to eat for dinner before my husband faints...

hitch hiker?

Well, I am begining to feel a little desperate on how in the WORLD I am going to get to the west side of the state on Friday the 12th. My friend Holly can take me to Battle Creek- so, that is like 60 miles away from where I need to be- which is AWESOME- but, now, I am stumped on how to get the rest of the 60 miles. I AM slightly considering hitch hiking. I mean, why not? :)

I am having a BLAH day. Maybe cause it is Monday- Maybe because I am headed to MI, which is good, but causes me stress- since I have to find places to stay, rides across the state, more places to stay, etc., I KNOW it will all work out- BUT- it also makes you feel alone- because it is a little bit stressful and totally hard to depend on others- at least for me. BUT, I am not complaining since I know it will be good.

In a little while I have to go to Yoga. After yoga Jamos and I have to pick up our car (at the car wash place) and his dry cleaning as he gets ready for Chicago. Man, I just watched a commericial for some papa johns pizza and all I can say is YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

SO, once again, if anyone is going to be in the battle creek area on Friday night....HELP!
