Showered with Blessings

Last night was Carrie's shower at my apartment and we had a lot of fun! I love it when people can come to my house! It is fun! And what a fun time to have something for Carrie! :) We played a few games ate junk food like teenagers and then watched her open some gifts!! She got some good ones!! :)

I am completely tired this morning....could not get out of bed....it was ridiculous....but, this weekend should prove to be relaxing....a little shopping, more spring cleaning the closets and finally...church! :) Oh, and a movie from NetFlix...:)

We have 31 more days....til jamos is home! :) This week has been flying by...too much to do...too little time!! I worked out last night and finished cleaning up for Carries Shower which is at my house tonight!!! I still have a bit to do...but, for the most part, the house will be presentable to those who have never been at my house before!!! :)

Anywhoot....I am too tired to write anything of importance...I need coffee...but, the bright side....IT IS SUNNY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GREAT year

Yesterday, March 28 was my 1 year anniversary with Jamos! Never had an anniversary- let alone a YEAR! :) We are excited to experience this together and even though, Jamos is far away, we continue to grow, personally and in our relationship! I appreciate the prayers and the encouragement during this time that we have been away from each other!

I got to open gifts...which was fun!! I got a necklace, a heart locket! And, a candle with one of those warmers (which I just realized I left on all night, and it is still on and I am at work..) AND finally, he used his mini recorder to tape his voice and a greeting on this special day!! :) GOOD JOB BABE!!!
And I got a birthday package from his family...they just spoil me to NO end!!! I love it! Anyways, the package included a new bible that is green and blue and really neat looking!! And I was needing a new bible!!! THEN they made me some earrings to match the red shirt Jamos got me back for Valentines Day...and I got a really neat picture frame bead bracelet deal- which is fun, cause I get to make it! They are so sweet! SO SWEET!!!!

So, all in all I have had a good past few days! :) My granny is home and doing better after her pacemaker was put in...she had a rough couple of days!! But, lucky for my mom, she is on spring break this week and was able to go to a wonderful little resort with her girlfriends and they are going to have a relaxing wonderful time!!!!!!!!! I am thankful! :)

Nature!

okay, I dont live in a nature conservatory, although, that would be fun! I did have a good day yesterday admiring the ducks...the racoon...the musgrat...(I cant spell...so, deal). Now, the ducks, are marvelous- because, well, there is a boy and a girl...and the boy follows the girl around as she eats and goes underwater...it was so sweet!!!!! They love each other....and that is so sweet. And the Racoon, he was just going around the edges of the pond...digging his hands into the pond, looking for something to eat...and then, the musgrat...he was picking all the dead looking grass and taking it back to his house to build a new bedroom, that is what I am thinking it was!! :)

wow!

I just saw of Jamos' pictures that he has taken down in Costa Rica and they are so amazing! He is a great photographer! Another reason to adore him! :) This weekend was good, but I missed him a LOT. Lucky for me, he called yesterday!!! I am mad, cause I cry and I know that I shouldnt cry, cause well, I should be happy, but just hearing his voice makes me miss him a lot and realize how lonely I am without his friendship in person! He is a great boyfriend and doing such an amazing job down in Costa Rica...I can't even tell you how proud I am of the kid!! Go JAMOS!

37 DAYS!

Well, it is the big 3-7...37 days until we can pick Jamos up from the Airport! YIPPEEEE!!!!

I was just going to type all about my night last night...was it boring? Was it action packed? But, after typing it all out, I decided that no one really cares what I did last night...but rather, they want some exciting thoughts and ideas that I have coming from the cranium of mine....

Last night was a fun night, came home from work, cleaned up a little, and sat on my butt! Well, I did go to the grocery store, where I thought I was being followed by a homeless man that was buying beer. It was sad, I didnt know what to do, but, hey, I am paranoid, I have been followed before in stores AND had a stalker, so I am just like ultra alert... I also read some from the new book (actual novel)...watched a gilmore girl re-run on the WB and watched a little idol....:) Yah, that is what I call chilling...

Jamos is the most creative, thoughtful boyfriend EVER!! He mentioned on Saturday that he sent me a package, but I hadn't gotten it yet!! So, yesterday, I worked out and raced home to see if I got a package yet!! AND, I DID!!! I was so excited, that I left my keys in the mailbox door! :) So, he sent me a letter, and, he sent a 'miss me' kit, which includes,

• 1 life size cut out of Jamos
• 1 count down calendar
• 1 costa rica key chain
• costa rica candy!!!

I tried posting a picture of everything, but the blog is slow today, so I will post more later! I hung up the life size cut out of Jamos, right next to my bed and it kinda scared me this morning when I woke up!!!

what a productive weekend

This weekend was one of the most productive I have had in a long time! Saturday I got a bunch of stuff cleaned out from my closets...split into piles to take to st.vincents, consignment, and to the dry cleaners! I waited for the couch man to come and review my couch and why it slouches towards the center. Then, off to run my errands and I took back the dress to JCPENNEYS and got my money back for that...did all those errands, picked up a check from the consignment store....went to SAMS to get some great looking veggies!!! And I was home by NOON!!! I did so much, hey, that is what being an early riser does to you! I had to wake up by 8 to be awake and ready for the guy to come look at the couch.
I watched "The Outsiders" and enjoyed that...watched some Wonder years and the phone RANG!! it was JAMOS! I loved hearing his voice!! He sounds so grown up and mature:) he is off again on another adventure within his concentraition, so that is neat! I wish I was off on some adventures, but I am not. Just the adventure to work...and back home ...and to curves.

I figured my printer out!!! And I am off to being a card making machine!! :)
Praise the Lord. I was about to throw that printer away.

Keep praying for my Granny as she is probably going to get a pacemaker in the near future....

Happy St. Patricks Day! I was able to open one of those 'gifts' in the big ole box from the boyfriend!!!!! This morning, wrapped in green wrapping in a green box, was green tissue paper and green grassy stuff...with....green and white mints!!! green GUM!!! a GREEN SLINKY!!! AND....a green and a white yankee candle!!!! He is SOOO INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And...only....44 days til I can hug this kid again! :)

:) I am SO sore!!! I worked out for 3 days straight...and now my body is like OUCH!!! :) I did not want to get out of bed at ALL....but, I did and once again, (you know what I am going to say) I thought I would be late, but once again, left at like, 7:30am...so, I stopped at the gas station for a little 'pick me up' :)

Tonight I have an event at the career center...so, that will give me something fun to do tonight! :) Last year it was fun, cause the career center has so much amazing stuff....like, beauty school classes, farming....so, they had GOATS!!!!!!!!!! (or sheep...I cant remember exactly...) It was fun! :) So, anywhoot, that should be a fun night!

The Lord always knows when I will need a special blessing...and yesterday was one of those days. I worked out with Rachel and then, back home to meet up with Carrie so she could use my printer to print her wedding invites (more on that later) SO, I check my mail and I pray each time I go to the mail box that something will be in there from Jamos...and yesterday, there it was. I said, "thank you jesus!" and read an amazing letter from my boyfriend, sharing his heart and plans for the future. It was perfect.

Now, back to the printer deal...so, we could NOT get the stupid printer to print an ENVELOPE!!!!!!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO ANNOYING!!!! So, we worked on that til 10pm after eating chinese! It was fun having someone over! It gets lonely at my place sometimes.

Snowglobe...

After yesterdays warm temps, this morning, driving to work was like driving in a snowglobe that some little kid was SHAKING!!! Snow was blowing EVERYWHERE the wind was like, blowing people OVER! It is just a strange wintery day...after a strange spring like day! What is going on?!??!


I tried to take the dress back to JCPENNEYS, but in order for me to get my money back, I need to wait a week until my check cashes.. DUMB. I knew I should have used the credit card. GEESH. So, I try to be on top of things and yet, it is better to just wait. Maybe that is what the Lord is teaching me...Wait on him, be still in his presence. A good friend wrote me an email and talked about when things were quiet, if I wanted to rush out and find something to do ...always wanting to DO something...I thought that was so interesting cause the one thing that people struggle with (and that includes me!) is just being silent, being still with the Lord. Waiting on him....

Waiting can take many shapes and forms...for instance, I have to wait to take the dress back...I have to wait to hear from my BOYFRIEND who I am like, going crazy inside my head to hear from....I wait for summer....I wait for Friday's....it is just a stupid cycle, which could also go along with being content in circumstances....yea, am I confusing anyone yet? :)

my dress is an addict

This weekend was a great one...Saturday I went shopping in Lansing with the girls from work, that was great fun!!! And then, Sunday, I got to teach my own sunday school class- usually I am just an assistant...but, not for yesterday or next week! I am THE TEACHER! and I love it!!! :) So, I also got a new coffee pot, that makes 1 excellent pot of coffee! So, that gave me all the energy I needed for Sunday!! I cleaned, re-arranged, talked on the phone and decided to go shopping for a new 'date' dress. Actually, I was looking for a cute outfit for Jamos' graduation, but I fell in love with all these pretty dresses that reminded me of summer...when Jamos could take me to the beach or someplace romantic, anyways, so, I buy this dress....love it...shop around more ....go home, to try it on and show my mom what the dress looks like, cause I couldn't explain it to her on the phone...So, around 6 I try the dress on....take a picture (which I will post) and then, try to get it off. The zipper is stuck...I tug and I pull...I have dealt with stuck zippers before....this isnt budging...I call mom. No help. She suggests I go next door to see my 86 year old neighbor, Ginny....I put a shirt on..cause it is around my waste...and travel next door in bare feet to Ginny's place...I go in...she tugs and pulls....and is EYE LEVEL to the zipper issue, which was on the back of the dress, but I pulled it around to the front, so I could actually SEE it...So, everyone is dealing above my waste line, right below the bust line...SO...she can't get it...calls her sister Nancy, she wasnt answering...We go outside to see if any neighbors are home...and, yes, yes, Andy, the guy I have never met before was home, so he comes out and we all introduce ourselves and he tries to dislodge me from the dress. No luck. Then, we see Carmen (or something like that) drive up and come out the of the garage...people must think I look stupid, cause I have a t-shirt on over this really flowy skirt/dress. So, she tugs and pulls, no luck. I am officially STUCK. I tell Ginny that I will figure something out- and she goes home. I call my mom to tell her that I really am stuck in this DRESS...she laughs and then, the doorbell rings...it is Ginny and her sister, Nancy, they have pliers...they tug and pull and rip the ziper pull RIGHT OFF...so, now I am even more in a 'pickle' cause I have nothing to tug on to get the zipper down...I put vasaline on it...nothing..I put dish soap on it...nothing....I call my boss, to tell him that I may be late for work cause I am stuck in a DRESS?!?! I get the phone book out...to try and see what I can do to the dress without having to pay for it.... I see there is a catalog merchant down in hillsdale...so, I call the number...it is a different store in the evenings when catalog part is closed, I told the lady my issue and she gives me the 800 number for JCPenneys Catalog...so, I call that....an animated voice comes on the phone and says, it is animated, but can answer questions and you can talk normally...so, I talk normal and when she asks what I need, I tell her, "I am stuck in my dress" and she says, "okay, what is your question?" and I said "how do I get out of it" and she says, "let me connect you to a customer service rep" for some reason that tickled my funny bone...so, the customer service rep comes on the phone and I explain to her my pre-dicament...she is laughing and while laughing asks to put me on hold...and I know, that she is just having a hay day telling all her catalog friends that some chick is stuck in a dress. Well, she finally comes back on and tells me that...."jcpenney will give you your full money back on defective merchandise" and with that I hang up...2 hours of being stuck in the dress...wondering if I should sleep in it and take it to the store in the morning....I call my amah, and she is laughing at me...and I am mad, so I have my pliers and I am tugging at every angle...and I pulled something just right and it ripped the zipper open!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD. That is what freedom from my addictive dress feels like!! :) AMAZING!! :) And, I am at work...slept in PJ's and it was wonderful! :)

Oatmeal

I am eating some Banana's and Cream oatmeal for breakfast...Gotta try to be healthy after eating a lot of girl scout cookies!! :) I heard a rumor that this weekend....it is supposed to be 70 DEGREES!!!!!! So, if that is the case and the sun is out, I am so laying on my deck and soaking up some rays!!!!! How amazing would that be?!?!?! I am excited.

So, anyways, such is life.

I am so blessed in my life. I am sittng at my desk on a semi- lunch break and looking around at the love that people show. I am so blessed and so amazed at how wonderful my friends and family are to me. There are streamers and signs/posters with pictures all over my office. Confetti all of my desk with danger tape and balloons! I have tulips in a vase from a friend...happy birthday is just all around. I got amazing phone messages and e-cards from friends and emails of love and just appreciation. I got some cards in the mail...
I just want you all to know that I love each of you. Thank you so much for touching my heart with your love to me...I hope that I can show you how much you mean to me.

I opened up a 'party in a box' from the Boyfriend! :) Filled with cake mix, frosting, and all the workings for a PARTY!! :) He also got me a really cute work out- out fit and some stationary...along with some soaps with flowers (those are the flowers for my birthday) :) He is amazing.

This weekend was also amazing. I will post pictures later when I am not in a rush, but, Saturday morning my dad and grandma came over for a brunch, which I prepared- and realized I hate cooking!!! hahah. The kitchen was a disaster area, but we ate and were full! :) And it was a good thing!! Then, later, Krista came over and we went to Lansing to eat at Mitchell (ode to my BF) Fish Market- which was AMAZING and fancy!!! THEN, it was off to see the LION KING at the Wharton Center. What an amazing SHOW!!!! It was just beautiful and anyone who wishes to see it, SEE IT!!!!

Sunday was a slow day...Krista and I slept in and then, we watched TV and I cleaned the kitchen (from all that cooking) and then, we went out to eat at AppleBees and I got a GREAT chicken sandwich, and then, I went to the SAFMC for a church visit/pizza party with them. It was a great day.

Today, like I mentioned, is my birthday, I am now 26 years old...and I don't feel 26...but, I am 26...hopefully wiser along with being older!!!!!

walmart/sweet home alabama

Last night, I traveled to curves to get my SHIRT!!! I have been wanting this blue tank top all year...since I joined 6 months ago...and yesterday, I picked it off the shelf! Everyone was excited for me, cause I had the count down going...and man oh man...:) I did it!!!

After that adventure of working out and getting the shirt...I went home, changed and went to Walmart to get some items I needed for the birthday brunch I am going to have for my dad and grandma and I when they come on saturday for my birthday (pre-birthday) celebration!!! :) How fun!

Then, I got home, watched "Sweet Home Alabama" and my favorite line from that movie... "why do you want to marry me?" "So I can kiss you any time I want" I love that!!!! So true. :)

Today is friday!! PRAISE JESUS!!!

Honors

Today is a busy day on campus and I will be working til 6:30 tonight- then, til 7:30 tomorrow night and on Sunday night...EXCITING! :)

So, I got to talk to Jamos yesterday!!! He called while I was watching Oprah- what a beautiful suprise! It was awesome. He is doing so great and I am sooooo proud of him!!!
