We ended our Organizational Behavior class and Leadership class- which included a TON OF HOMEWORK on Sunday night- starting our 2 new classes on Monday morning. Whew. We are taking Ethics...and a Finance class. WHEW. Me and MATH= no good. I took pre-algebra like 3 times IN HIGH SCHOOL....
Let's pray NOW!

Who talked me into getting my MASTERS?! Good heavens. When we are done with these 2 classes we will have 19 credit hours...let's see...we need 36 to graduate... if I use my calculator...only 17 more credit hours to go. (FYI- I really went to get my calculator....).
On a side note- my grandma gave me a shoulder pad shirt- with 3 buttons in the back...made of some silky material that immediatly bumped me into my 70's.
I went to the store to return it and spent SO MUCH TIME walking in circles...trying to find something that I would like....found a pair of capris...1 shirt.. that is ALL!!!!!! BOO to shopping!!!
What are 30 year olds supposed to wear? I am too old for shorty shorts... too young for shoulder pads.... to tall for some other things. I think sweat pants and a tank fir the bill PERFECT. Good thing I don't leave the house....EVER!

MANDISA and ANITA RENFROE

I went to GIRLS NIGHT OUT last night at my church. It was AWESOME!!!! So cool to be in the House of the Lord with MANY women- who are letting loose, loving the Lord and jamming to some MANDISA!
I L O V E Mandisa's CD- and if you have not bought it yet- get it! Her songs are SO uplifting and FUN!!! They are good songs for dreary/bad/sad/hard days.
She is AWESOME in concert. What a pure and lovely heart she has....
Anita Renfroe was also there- she is SO FUNNY!!!!!! To laugh with a sold out crowd- about things women deal with was awesome. If you EVER get the chance to see her- go!
My friend Evelyn and I volunteered as USHERS- which meant we got some SWEET little flash lights to guide ladies to their seat before the show- and once the show started- we were down in front on the side next to the stage Jamming with Mandisa!
Well, now we are to the weekend, but let me tell you what I have accomplished that was on my mind in the last post-
1) I got my car up to date with the emissions test so I am legal and not going to get a ticket! Praise God. I am NOT a rule breaker!
2) Started on my taxes, but have a big tax question about taking classes from SAU with my tuition discount. I don't know if that gets taxed or not. So, I am slightly depressed about our current tax situation.
3) It is friday night- just took my last test for organizational behavior which ends Sunday- and have only 1 more paper to write before we can move along and get to our 2 new classes on Monday.

grocery store
Lately, I have been shopping SO much at the grocery store. I wonder the aisle, amazed at all the food options....normally I shop the outside edges- produce/dairy b/c we don't eat a lot of the middle section. I have been disappointed lately with the produce sections- it needs to be summer again so we have more fruit options. Jamos and I are BIG fruit and veggie eaters- so it is always a good time for us. Anyways- that is on my mind- so I just told you about it.
I have to do my taxes- so that is also on my mind. Lucky for me- Jamos picked up the program to do the taxes- which makes it much easier for me to actually sit down and enter the information... And, I think you are right- I will make Jamos sit with me and help! (in case you were planning on telling me to do it!).
I also need to take my car in for an emissions test. Here in TX- we have to do those each year....it is stupid- and we get a sticker for our window to go next to our registration....
Poor Jamos has been dealing with some major tooth issues lately. He chipped a tooth a few weeks ago- went to the dentist to get a cleaning- and to see if they can sand the tooth down- well, it ended up being a chipped filling- which meant he had to go back-- got the dreaded thing filled and was still having PAIN in his tooth (nerve) so tomorrow bright and early he has to go back and get it worked on again. I feel bad for him. He dislikes the dentist...and I see why now! :)
We haven't been making any delicious treats lately.... no good food being made- no bread either. :(
This Sunday another class ends for our Masters- and 2 more start Monday morning. We are taking a finance class and an ethics class. All I can say is WOWZERS. I am SCARED! You may not see much of me for the next 2 months.... these MAY kick my butt!!!
Well, peace be with you. Study the word.

check your battery

Went to the grocery store....saw an older gent/grandpa stuck in the BBQ sauce aisle trying to get the attention of a store employee. Didn't know he was stuck until I asked him if I could do something for him- apparently he ran out of battery in the aisle. Lucky for him, I am a nice girl who went to get an employee that could help get this man a new cart that worked.
Doesn't it make you feel good to help out? That is what living is all about, right?

30th Birthday!
I had a 30th GREAT birthday!!! It consisted of NO HOMEWORK (which made for a no good very bad Sunday) and lots of fun!
I wasn't really sure how the day would fold out- but I had a coupon for a free burger at Red Robin (with bottomless fries), so, since we didn't have any lunch plans, let's go eat! Before we left I opened my birthday gifts from my mom, while on my cell phone with her- she made me feel her love from a distance!
Then, I had a free $10 game play for being in the Dave and Busters club- so we headed back to D&B. We split the burger at RR and I got a free birthday ice cream...Too much food for ONE person- so our bill came to $0.00. :)
I won Deal or No Deal - my FAVORITE game at D&B. That was fabulous. I also got a 1990 CD- of WILSON PHILIPS! :)
After a lovely day and a nap- Jamos and I were off to see Cirque Dreams Illumination downtown at 8pm. It was an AWESOME SHOW!!!!!!!!!! It was fun, entertaining, amazing and realllllly fun! I loved it. Jamos and I made our way home- for CAKE! It was a yummy peanut butter cheesecake!
I honestly felt SO loved by everyone and really, I was needing to feel that love from friends and family! So, friends and family, thank you for showing me and reminding me how much I am loved! :)

30 is looming/I am blessed
I have been trying reflect on this last year of my life- year 29...what did I do?
Let's see....
-I flew successfully 12 times. I thought it would be more....and maybe it was, but for now, I will stick with 12. And 2 of those times I flew across the Atlantic.
-I was the host of 2 reality tv show productions (in pre-production). "All Meals Included" and "Most Beautiful Beds and Breakfasts" which gave me the chance to visit local restaruants and interview the cooks and staff as well as visit a beautiful bed and breakfast in Jefferson Texas (Near Dallas). These shows are still in process.
-Jamos and I took a trip to Germany and Austria. It was fabulous and spontanious which is something I am not.
-I coordinated 4 MarriagePrep events at SBC which involved nearly 600 people (300 couples). They were successful.
-I enrolled over 60 students to SAU. (Fall 2009 and IM/SP 2010).
-Met a sweet cat named BlackBean and still miss her.
-Became a student again- by going back to school for my masters in organizational management. WOW. What a life change that has been.
-Had a nice Yoga practice 2 times a week- though I still lack stretching ability and balance, but I try.
-Stood in the middle of THIS WAY and THAT WAY in Lake Jackson, Texas, (those are streets).
-Dressed up as Chester the Cheetah at 2 Walmarts in Houston- handing out tatoos and cheetohs just because I CAN :).
-Was part of the Arbetron Ratings.

too much to do!
I log in with the best of intentions to write this lovely blog about all the things I am doing in my life...BUT...
1) life isn't that exciting...
2) I only have 1 hour until yoga- which means I need to clean up since I am done working.
So...there ya go.
30 is coming...30 is coming!
