I think I have a cold. My nose is running, I am sneezing...I have failed to take my Juice Plus each day- which is likely why I have gotten sick. Since I started taking Juice Plus, I have gotten sick a lot less- which has been amazing. You would think I would be better since it obviously does something for me!
Black Bean update: nothing. No cat. I emailed the humane society in their lost pet department, and searched the adoption pages of both the humane society and the spca.
My mom says, "Emily, you need a cat" which I agree. BUT...there is also much to discuss. A pet is a big committment and when they don't just fall into your lap like BB did, it makes it hard to actually go forward. I keep saying someday- when Jamos and I actually know what we are doing with our lives... but, you can't live like that can you?
Today we went to the movies! We go on Saturday mornings (when we have a free saturday- which hasn't been for a while) it is only $5 movies and we are in the movie watcher club, so we get a large popcorn, large drink and other extra's for free or super cheap (like 2 bucks) with FREE refills... So, we enjoy our excursions of cheapness. BUT- we saw LEAP YEAR. Yes, I got to pick the movie! A few things I liked about the movie:
1) it was rated PG!
2) Amy Adams is awesome. I started liking her from the movie: ENCHANTED.
3) I now want to go to Ireland on our next crazy unplanned adventure.
4) Uh, can you say irish ACCENT? (Jamos refuses to talk with an accent...I keep asking).
5) Just makes you feel good about life! :)
So, though the movie review people gave it a "c" I will give it an "A" because it is a feel good movie! :)
Last night Jamos and I went out in the rain on a Friday night to Central Market- it is our favorite store...it is the store where I got 2nd place in the HATCH PEPPER HAT MAKING CONTEST....
Anyways, we went..starving...and for the life of me I could NOT find a dish I wanted to make. So, I wandered thru the AMAZING produce section....thinking of this and that which I could make. I L O V E their produce. If you can grow it- they carry it. YUM.
They also have a bulk section (like Whole Foods) where we buy dried mango. Y U M. The only thing that REALLY bothers me about that...there are all these "organic" type people walking around the bulk section....testing each food....looking intent on finding the perfect nut. Well, HELLO.
THAT
ANNOYS
ME.
1) you are eating the food that the rest of us are paying for to sample (maybe I am jealous?)
2) you are likely sticking your nasty fingers in the food I want to pay for (hello, i have a cold which I probably got from the bulk section- from YOU).
3) I don't have a third reason to be annoyed- but I suppose the sign that says, "IF YOU WOULD LIKE A SAMPLE_ LET US HELP YOU" it doesnt say, FEEL FREE TO EAT OUR FOOD ON YOUR OWN.
Anyways- we got a lot of random and spent more money than I have spent in one trip to the grocery store in a while. It is funny. We always try to justfy our purchases on the way out of the store....saying "well, we NEVER EAT OUT" which is both true and depressing. We never eat out here! We are too cheap and I would rather just eat at home- since I know what is in it and financially, it is a good decision. Why am I talking about this? Oh, I have no idea....except that tonight I will be making some yummy butternut squash soup made with apples. Y U M.
We only have 2 more weeks of our current grad classes...2 weeks! Too bad our NEXT class starts the DAY AFTER the other one ends. Whose idea was that?! :)
I have to admit, the fact I am registered for all my classes thru July is quite astounding. I would have NEVER thought for a billion years that I would go back to school to get my masters degree.
EVER.
I
DISLIKE
SCHOOL.
BUT...I do like this program and am learning a lot! I think it is helpful now that I have been out in the work world- so I actually can APPLY what I am learning to modern day life. Real Life. Real Work.
We will continue to bust our booties into action and try to get done with the program soon. I still suspect it will be another year of school work- but considering we have already gone 5 months- what is another year?! :)
I also could not have started the program without Jamos by my side. Though, he tends to make me procrastinate on my homework- it is because of him that I am actually sticking with the classes! He is a last minute homeworker- I ..would rather be done ASAP.

ugh
So the hard reality of no more kitty cat is hitting me. I think I had in the back of my mind that Jamos took Black Bean to the vet to get taken care of and shots etc., so we could adopt her and love her forever.....
Well...I don't think that is actually the way it is working out.....
So, I have food outside in my handy "feeder" that I got for her when we left for christmas...

I am TOTALLY SAD. I have checked all the sites I know...SPCA, Humane Society...Craigs list...all for lost animals. The annoying part of it all- she wasn't ever really MINE. So how do I post signs and posters for a missing cat- when she isnt REALLY missing. She knows where she is- she is independent of me.
She lived in the parking lot...
Near the dumpster for a while...
But, she walked with me around the complex...like a dog...
She would drool with delight when you would play with her...
She finally stopped jumping and scratching me with her wicked nails.... just in time for her to be GONE.
Am I THAT crazy cat person?
I just enjoyed this little pet of mine, even though she wasn't ever mine....
I looked forward to her visit...
and now...well, now I am just looking out the window every 4 seconds and wondering around doing my B.B whistle...no luck. she isn't coming home...
I walk around and around the complex looking for her. Nothing. Not a trace of a cat. No cats for that matter. None.
There was another all black cat that looked not nearly as pretty as B.B and then, a black and white one....
Can't find a sole. Did they move on to a new apartment?
I don't really know...and now that you think I am nuts because all I am doing is talking about this cat...well, there ya go. That is me. Nuts. On my OWN BLOG!
Baby Will
So, I am a cousin...but I wish it was an AUNTIE EM status. My first cousin, Sara, had a healthy baby boy today! I am pretty excited about it- so here are some picture. Obviously, or not so obviously, I did not take the pictures, they are from my mom's camera...because I have yet to kiss this sweet boy because of my distance away from him.
I have to admit, my mom looks pretty great holding a little bundle of joy! And look at my grannys happy face..... ahh.. :) babies sure do bring joy!
Hair Product

Ever wanted a great new hair product? Well, I found one for you! Bumble and Bumble style creme!
I have really thin hair- and when you use just a quarter size of this- it really does make a volume difference! So, in case you were looking for something new...try it! You will LIKE IT!
You can get it at some salons, but they also sell it at Target. The small bottle is 13.99. Sure, that is more than I pay for hair stuff, but really, you will find that this is all you need to turn flat hair PUMPED! :) So, you won't need anything else!!!
Would I lead you astray? NO.
In other news, I am a cousin? Or cousin-aunt? I don't know, my cousin Sara, had a baby today! A baby boy named Will. He was just over 8lbs and I can't wait to hug him and kiss him!! Don't know when that will be...but, it is nice to know he has made a safe arrival to FL! :)
Isn't it tragic about Haiti? Jamos has been to Haiti on a missions trip with the Free Methodist Church. The building they worked on- is no longer standing. I want to help and am looking for ways we can help. I know that prayer is always something we can do in any situation.
Still no Black Blean.
But, I do have Yoga tonight, which I am thankful for.

No sign
Well, sad news on the home front...call it mothers intuition, but my sweet Black Bean has missed 2 dinners in a row- which is unheard of since I started feeding her back in September/October. I can only hope that she was found, adopted by a sweet and loving family and will get all that she needs. I am such a sucker for cats, this made me feel like I actually had a pet cat again....
I hope I am not a crazy cat lady...
But, I had my 1st cat Snowflake, since I was like, 5 years old...until I was 22....
I loved her...and as an only child, it was nice to have a "sibling" :)
So, it is a sad day in my world...Jamos doesn't quite understand how I can feel so attached to an outside, stray CAT.
In other news, there is an animal in my WALL. People at our apartment don't seem to care....so, I can't wait to move out of HERE.
