Black Bean

This is Black Bean or BB. The top picture is her after one of her FIRST experiences with CAT NIP!!!!

She is our neighborhood cat, that I have learned to love since October! She has lived at our complex for a WHILE- out back behind the dumpster...pretty sure she had 2 babies, I would feed them out there for a while and then one day, she just followed Jamos and I to our apartment while we were out walking....I fed her and now, each day at 5pm she shows up on our porch waiting for her food. At first we didnt let her into our apartment, but now, she has full range of the house. She is very clean and SO loveable.

I am a little worried because tonight- she didn't show up...let's just hope she is ok. She is a BIG highlight to me- because I LOVE cats and I love looking forward to seeing her each night! She meows a lot and it is lots of fun for me to take care of her. So, I wanted to share a picture! :)

Bridal

This weekend was the bridal extravaganza show downtown. It was HUGE and crazy! :) MarriagePrep has a booth with lots of great volunteers and it was SO nice to be able to talk to couples who are caught up in colors, dresses, flowers, and cakes and remind them they need to cover some BIG issues to start their marriage off right! MarriagePrep really is a great ministry to be involved with.

At the end of the event on Sunday, me and a volunteer Whitney, went around to the flower booths and I have made FIVE vases of FLOWERS out of the flowers I got for FREE!!!!! I took pictures and shall post some soon!

We only have 3 more weeks of our current masters classes....We need strength to make it thru.

Happy 2010!

I am not too impressed with my new blog layout. So this will be changing soon....well, as soon as I find the time to actually blog/change it!
Being on vacation for 2 weeks was AWESOME!!!! We were in Michigan and loved each second of it. Our flights were delayed to and from Chicago so that gave us ample time to hang out in various airports! :)

It iced, it snowed, it was cold! We enjoyed our families very much! It is always 100%better when we have more time to hang out with EVERYONE and not feel rushed. It helps keep Jamos and I sane as well....

Monday was a hard day! Back to the real world....school work...BLAH and BOO.

We are trying to spend more time in the word. It is SO easy to get distracted by EVERYTHING and not cling to the word that gives us life.

Christmas Life

What fun it is to enjoy the holiday season! I should say CHRIST-mas season. :)

I have been baking, gift wrapping, enjoying my family, enjoying Jamos' family, shopping, eating, eating, eating, got a massage and liked it so much I am ordering another one for Monday. I can do that right?
YES!

The one thing I wish- that I had a diet coke right now!

Tomorrow is CHRISTmas eve! Let us remember why we celebrate. A little babe, in a manger. ah. amazing.

Merry Christmas!

Whoa, time has flown and I have not posted! Jamos and I are in the midst of 2 grad classes at the same time, so all free time in the evenings is dedicated to our studies. Boo!!!

I am feeling SO much better. I can't believe I was SO sick for Thanksgiving. You don't realize how great healthy can feel until you have been NOT healthy for a while!

Work is good.

My dinner making skills are NOT so good.

And cookie baking....WHAT cookie baking?!

I hope this school is WORTH it. I am glad that my husband enjoys cereal at all times of day....

The house is decorated for Christmas....it is amazing all the boxes of decorations I have just for Christmas. I love sitting in the living room with the christmas tree on and the cozy feelings that come with it.

I have watched Elf, Christmas Vacation, While You Were Sleeping, Santa Baby 1 and 2, Its a Wonderful Life...all great "christmasy feeling" movies!!!

Our apartment cat, which we named BLACK BEAN, is doing really well. She loves coming into our house and relaxing (and eating!!) she doesn't stay too long before she wants to go outside...she is a good cat. I wish she was really mine! I would like to get her spayed....and declawed.

The Christmas season is always increasingly BUSY....I pray that we all have safe travels, health, wonderful time with family and friends.

Merry Christmas!!!!
