nothing

not much to write about...this weekend was good- we went with our friend Amy to this "trader village" which was RIDICULOUS!!!! It was like a flea market- with coach purses for like 3o bucks.....that was pretty much the BEST deal of anything- they had puppies, flying squarrels, but, we got to hold them! and then they had like JUNK- old remote controls, etc., it was an interesting cultural experience.

After that we THOUGHT we were going to these outlet malls, but we ended up at this HUGE all with outlet stores in the mall??? STRANGE. It was a long day with a lot of walking....

When we got home, Jamos felt like walking some more, so we saved gas and walked to the GROCERY store- good thing we live in the city cause we happened to walk past Marble Slab...where we stopped for some frozen yogurt.

Anyways, the weekend was good. Sunday we had church and a marriage life bowling night at the bowling alley.

I guess I don't really feel like writing right now, I am half watching the bachelor- and really want some ice cream....

Well, that is all.

Hope you are good.

FINALLY!

I love good tv drama- like GRAY's ANATOMY! :) Yippee!!! Jamos and I have been beyond busy- between his work, my work and this stuff I am doing for the church, along with our small group and just trying to not have a break down- this week has been tiring! It keeps me on my toes and I am thankful for each opportunity, but, It does take some getting used to!

Jamos did great at his presenting this week. I have to say, he was pretty nervous about it all, but he did great- I knew he would! :) (with the help of some tums!)

My mom officially has been without a dog for 6 days... she thinks it was a great decision, and she is getting along fine- living with a lady who lives near my mom- so, she gives updates often! They are a good match!

I am in love with the container store- I swear this place has such great stuff! I went there last night- that was my outing for myself- and I bought some pretty AWESOME stuff to help me organize. I dont really feel THAT organized in my home- work yes, home NO.
I got the Flip Folder- which gives you perfectly folded shirts!!! I need this- cause Jamos has SO many shirts and the way I "fold" makes bulky messes in the drawers!! I have enjoyed my time flip folding...:)

My last plant from home depot is in the process of hitting the bucket. totally stinks! But, it is just an azalea, and I am not going to drive all the way there to return it...

I have gotten some really neat books from the library...so, let me just give a shout out to library's they are GREAT places- and really help you save money- by not having to purchase books to read them. AND, you know what that means? MORE ROOM in your house and on your shelves:)

No plans this weekend, I would like to try to make some home made bread- with the help of the bread machine... hmmm...weekend! I can't wait! :)

Well, better go!

whirlwind weekend- aGAin!

(above) this was the other weekend, we had CRAWFISH!!!! You pull them apart and eat them- and discard the rest in the big "miller lite" bucket. It was quite fun! :)

Jamos and I in our free HAT!

He was a big Crawfish! :)

It seems as though everytime I write, the weekend has come and gone in the blink of an eye.

Friday night...Jamos and I needed to go to the mall to pick up our wedding rights which were being 'serviced' at the jewelry store- we were without them for like 5 days- and it felt STRANGE to not have a ring on my finger!! We stopped at the Red Box and got a movie- "There will be Blood" about the oil and such- it was a really good movie- Although, Jamos ended up not feeling good that night- so that was pretty much our night.
Saturday morning, I was super LAZY- woke up, ate, went back to bed, watched a movie, cleaned up a little, finally took a shower- in time for Jamos to come home from working- and he suprised me with BOX tickets for the Astro's game- I don't know how he worked it, but he got the tickets for free- which is ALWAYS good- So, we got dressed and were off to the game! The first 10,000 fans in the door got a FREE ASTRO's HAT- so we were there for our free hat!!!
Sitting in a box seat- was crazy- you actually get waited on- all you do is waive the menu and the guy comes and brings you whatever you wanted to order- We ate this HUGE sandwich, and of course, got peanuts!! :) And, souvinere(sp?) cups with our $5.25 diet soda with no ice. :)
SOOOO that was most excellent. got home, watched ANOTHER movie- "Shooter" what is up with me watching such violence? I have no idea- must be city life- ANYWAYS, it was good- and so, we were up late again, and up early for church- After sunday school- our class was selected to hand out bulletons for the 11:11 service- so we got to do that- and it was fun- church was okay- this old lady behind us, actually "SHH'd" Jamos and I right after he came from the back finishing up handing out bruchures. I couldn't believe it. But, maybe we were being annoying to her- and needed a good "shhh" :)
After church, we went to Pei Wei- which is this great Asian food place- that was fun...then, we had a lazy sunday afternoon- it was quite perfect!! :)
All in all- that was our weekend- it involved a lot of food- lots of lazy and a good time w/ my husband!

needle in my...eye?

Sewing along...la la la....bam. I need to re-load my bobbin, and somehow since I havent used the machine in like...7 months, I forgot how to load it all up- I ended up breaking the needle- it snaps- and smacks me like less than an INCH from MY EYE!! I don't know what I would have done if it hit my eye- I wouldn't be typing this message, that is for sure! I would be in the ER getting my eye fixed. So, thank you Lord for protecting me!

With the help of my husband, (and nearly 1-2 hours later) I got the machine working again. What was I making you may ask? Well, I have been wanting to make those rice packs that you heat in the microwave- and, then put on your back/knee/whatever you want!

I had the supplies, I bought them earlier this week- I'd so my first one came out good- I learned some techniques on this, and I will continue to learn how to tweek this- I figure it is a really useful project- I mean, who doesnt like to have something to ease the tension in their neck? ME ME!!! I love it!

Jamos picked up a pizza from a new pizza joint- it was really good- not greasy and gross- it was yummy!!! :) So, I am thankful I didn't have to worry about that too- We lost power today- I think there was a car accident that hit a power line- it didnt last too long though- so that was good. But, I have to fix all of my clocks....argh.

I got this book from the library "Eat Love Pray" or something like that- kinda interesting and so far I disagree with the lady- but I am trying to keep an open mind! :)

Well that is all. I am pooped after all this sewing machine drama, work and daily duties as a wife!

ahhh....FRIENDS! :)

Today I was lucky enough to see an old (and I do mean old- over 24 years!!!) friend, Katie. We grew up down the Alley from each other in St. Pete- and then, when she moved, we also moved- to the same neighborhood- so, we were best friends for the early parts of our lives!!! We grew up together- and have some CRAZY memories- of putting butter on the kitchen floor so we could ice skate, playing school, "airport", bike rides, swinging from palm tree branches, playing dress up in her mom's clothes, barbies, the movie thriller, SO many memories!!! She used to have to walk me home- cause I was afraid to go alone- she was a good friend to me!

Lately, all of those fun memories have been on my mind, as I think back to the ease of childhood, and I wrote her randomly- she lives in California now- and I am in Texas, so, anyways, I wrote her and then, she said she was in Texas, just north of Houston!!! So, today we were able to go out to lunch with her aunt and uncle- and reminse about great memories and all that we are up to now-a-days.

It was such a blessing. I wish I had an old picture I could scan to add to this new one...hmm... maybe I will go look for one...but here we are today- nearly 30 years old- :)
